Your wedding day is a day that you have anticipated for a very long time. We will capture all the fun and emotions on your special day! Cool Photography is a digital wedding photography company. There are many advantages to hiring a digital wedding photographer. The following list just touches on a few of them:

1.  The photographer can view the image on the LCD screen and check for exposure and quality in a matter of seconds. The photographer knows instantly if there is an exposure problem, a posing problem or a mechanical problem such as a camera or flash failure.

 2. Digital photographers now have total control of their images with no more sending the film to a lab where there was always a risk that the film would be lost in transit or damaged in some way. With digital photography, we download all our images to a computer from a compact flash media storage card. At Cool Photography we shoot all our images in "Raw" and then convert the images to JPEGs. The raw files are recorded to a DVD.   The JPEG files are recorded to a CD and also stored on an external hard drive. That’s three different locations and file formats so there is no need to worry about a lost or corrupt file. These files are printed by a Pro Lab that we upload our images to. The lab uses the exact same machines and the exact same photographic paper to make prints from a digital file as they do to make a print that was shot with film.

3. Digital photographers can take a photograph in color and then convert it to black and white with no loss in quality. Thus, there is no more shooting with 2 cameras, one with B&W film and the other with color. In essence we are now a black and white wedding photography company as well as a color wedding photography company. Also, there are so many "cool" things that you can do with a digital image; you can add a border or a frame, convert the image to a sepia tone or add a multitude of filter effects. One of our favorites is to convert an image to black and white and then colorize just a part of the image. For instance, convert the image of the Bride and Groom under the arch to a black and white image and only color in the bouquet. It’s a beautiful effect and one that you might want to consider either as a print or an addition to your album. Although we enjoy setting up and taking the formal portraits at a wedding, we also strive to capture those special moments that occur during a wedding by doing candid wedding photography throughout the day. We strive to capture the emotions of the bride and groom as well as your guests!

Digital Wedding Albums:

We offer an assortment of digital wedding albums as well as print albums. The new digital wedding albums are very unique and can be customized to a "one-of-a-kind" album for your special day. Check out our catalogue pages to see the albums that we offer! 

Cool Photography now offers gift certificates in any amount to be given to the bride and groom to purchase wedding photos. Upon request Cool Photography can supply you with cards that explain the Gift Certificate and can be included in your shower and wedding invitations.

Formal Bride and Groom Photos:

At Cool Photography we think there are two ways to do these photographs. The traditional way is to do the photos at the church.  Another way to do the photos is for us to set up our mobile photo studio at the home where the bride is getting ready or at another convenient location. We set up lights and a backdrop to create a very beautiful wedding portrait. We can take all the photos of the bride and her parents and also the photos of the groom and his parents. If the bride and groom don’t object to seeing each other before the wedding, we can take the photos of both of them before the wedding. This reduces a lot of stress on the bride and groom because they don’t have to wait at the Church for their photos and can go directly to the reception and enjoy their guests.

The other way to do these photos is to do them at the Church immediately following the ceremony. Either way, it’s your wedding you make the choice. Be sure to tell the people that you would like in the photo to please stay at the Church until all the photos are taken. It’s always very unfortunate when "Aunt Helen" or "Uncle Rick" take off for the reception before the photos are taken at the Church.

 Payment Schedule

We require a 1/3 deposit on whatever wedding package that you decide on to reserve a date. We can not hold any date without this deposit.

On our destinations weddings that we do in Laughlin we require the balance of your package be paid on or before the wedding. On weddings that are done in Kingman where the bride and groom can come back to our studio we require another 1/3 of your package be paid at or before the wedding and 1/3 upon delivery of you prints.
